Characterization of Florescent Pseudomonads for Biological control Efficacy, Plant Growth Promotion and Antibiotic Tolerance

A collection of fourteen indigenous Fluorescent Pseudomonads (FLPs) was isolated from diverse crop rhizospheres across different regions Bihar, and their distinctive characteristics were documented. The differentiation between Pseudomonas aeruginosa fluorescens achieved through pigmentation, fluorescence assessment on King's media, growth analysis at 42°C. Among the isolates, nine identified as P. aeruginosa: FLP strains associated with Rice, Turmeric, Mustard-1, Mustard-2, Okra-G, Pea, Barley, Brinjal, Chickpea. Meanwhile, five isolates - Wheat, Bean, Mango, Brinjal New, Cauliflower classified fluorescens. Confirmation these classifications established DNA sequencing 16s RNA region. These evaluated against prevalent phytopathogens, including Macrophomina phaseolina, Colletotrichum musae, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cubense, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae. Notable performance exhibited by Barley (70.55%) Okra-G (53.82%) Rice (38.58%) In context biocontrol efficacy, Mustard-1 showcased superior in combatting phytopathogens. Additionally, all except Cauliflower, phosphate-solubilizing capabilities, demonstrating highest solubilization (Phosphate Solubilizing Index 2.89). Siderophore production a common trait among isolates. Compatibility antibiotics, namely Streptocycline concentrations 0.025% 0.10%, well Copper oxychloride 0.25%, 0.30%, 0.50%, assessed. Only compatibility both antibiotics concentrations. Notably, demonstrated positive antibiotic alongside effective potential. summation, this study unveils distinct attributes potential applications crops Bihar. exhibit promising traits such disease control, phosphate solubilization, siderophore production, compatibility, thus presenting valuable options for sustainable agricultural practices management.
